  • Overview

    As a National Account Manager, you will be responsible for specific accounts and their corresponding assortment and advertising planning, purchase and sell-out forecasting, and sales and profit results. Other duties will include account administration and product training as to deliver on departmental and organizational wide objectives.


    Sales Quotas & Results

    • Listing of core and premium skus by category
    • Develop account profile– key contacts / LG revenue /competitive intelligence
    • Create sales and purchase plan by account with buyer – Forecasting both 120 days out
    • Deliver action plan by account to achieve target revenues
    • Weekly account schedule to review inventory and ad plans
    • Expand LG line in all categories
    • Provide timely competitive information to head office
    • Ensure proper brand message is delivered in all materials. ie. Flyer, ROP, Web, Radio, In-Store as applicable
    • Confirm account specific promotional plans 90 days out
    • Will contribute to the development of key account sales goals and pricing planning


    • Manage inventory and sell-thru activities
    • Gap analysis by major account to find opportunities
    • Service related issue resolution
    • Credit related assistance to ensure prompt payment and credit availability and confirmation
    • Develop training schedule with Go To Market Training Manager
    • Liaise with all internal LG departments relating to sales activities – marketing, service, finance, supply chain, etc.
    • Accurately document all customer phone and in-person meetings, and share with LG executives
    • Managing business relationships at all levels of assigned accounts
    • Keeping senior management abreast of all ongoing areas of sales progress, development, and challenges

    Self-Improvement & Training

    • Understanding of LG product knowledge and related materials
    • Maintain expert level knowledge of key competitors in all categories
    • Keep abreast of industry related market share information
    • Keep up to date on market changes


    • University degree preferred
    • Minimum 3 years’ experience as Key Account Manager for large national accounts
    • Home electronics or luxury package goods experience preferred
    • Experience in sales and purchase forecasting
    • Budgeting experience would be an asset
    • Excellent oral, communication, and computer skills
    • Advanced Power Point, Excel, Word
    • Good organization skills and able to multi-task
    • Good knowledge of working on internet websites
    • Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines
    • Time management and superior communication skills
    • Must be willing to travel nationally on a monthly basis, and internationally occasionally
