  • Overview

    The Accounting/Tax Manager is responsible for coordinating and managing the general accounting function, primarily concerning the accuracy and maintenance of the ledger accounts and the resultant financial statements.  He/she is also responsible for the closing of books and ensuring proper financial reporting and tax management.  The Accounting Manager may participate in complex general accounting projects and is responsible for the direct supervision of the general accounting staff.

    Responsibilities

    Accounting:

    • Responsible for monthly closing and year-end audit
    • Perform GL and financial statement analysis
    • Manage long-term overdue accounts
    • Endure  compliance with company policy and procedure

    Taxation:

    • Prepare tax returns for corporate income and sales taxes
    • Assist transfer pricing audit
    • Government authorities’ tax audit
    • Custom duty monitoring and management
    • Environmental handling fees monitoring and management

    Financial reporting:

    • Prepare reporting package to the parent company
    • Perform ad hoc reporting and project
    • Perform internal accounting control assessment
    • Approve vendor accounts setup

    Qualifications

    • BA/BS in Business with an emphasis in Accounting, CPA required.
    • Minimum seven years of experience in the financial reporting/general ledger area. Experience working in a professional services firm is preferred.
    • Prior supervisory experience
    • Must be PC proficient and able to thrive in a fast -pace setting. Must have strong experience with Microsoft Excel, PPT and Word.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong interpersonal, supervisory and customer service skills required.
    • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required
    • CPA designation
    • Must be fluent in English & Korean
