  • Overview

    The Budget Analyst will manage the expense verification process for the all marketing related transactions. The position will also involve managing budget requests and budget planning for 12 business units. Position involves working across a wide array of accounting and finance functions.


    Expense Review and Verification

    • Review and analyze the back-up documentation provided for all expense submissions to ensure they are in accordance with company policies
    • First approver in the expense process, main role is to ensure the expense validity and accuracy and be able to explain the nature, costing, timing etc. as needed for audit purposes.
    • Identify erroneous submissions and resolve with the marketing team and/or vendors in a timely manner

    Advertising and Promotion Registration Management

    • Register action plans (activity budgets) in a timely manner
    • Ensure totals, timing, account codes and expense types are accurately recorded and as planned by marketing team, action plans tie directly to monthly actuals and forecasting totals
    • Monitor approval process of all types of promotional activities; ensure approval line is properly set up in order to reflect the promotional expense in the corresponding period
    • Adjust or terminate expired action plans through the remaining balance assessments
    • Analyze budget expenditures and provide budget management guidance to the marketing team


    • Assist in developing rolling four month forecast for all Business Units

    General Procurement

    • Maintain the contract/statement of work portal, ensuring approvals are obtained
    • Evaluate Purchase Requisitions as they are requested by the various teams
    • Assist in the RFP process (2 to 4 annually)
    • Duties in GP fluctuate with workload with other responsibilities


    • College/University graduate
    • 1-3 years of Expanse management experience
    • Understanding of accounting, marketing expense processing
    • MS Office: Excel : Intermediate – Advance level
    • Ability to learn new programs with ease
    • Ability to handle a fast-paced, detail oriented environment
    • Accountability for decisions
    • Strong verbal/written communication skills
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Maintain the highest standards of ethical conduct
    • Strong interpersonal skills
