The Assistant In-store Marketing Manager is responsible for developing in-store display strategy and execution working closely with Carrier partners and sales team. The role entails ownership and implementation of retail display/merchandising strategy, national execution and providing ongoing support to carrier/retail partners. This person is required to work in sync with the category Brand Manager and sales teams to align launch activities to successful product launches. The key objectives for the role is to drive top-notch consumer experience in store, elevate the LG Brand presence through innovative displays, POS & other relevant material at the locations that set LG brand apart and communicate key product & sales features to consumers. It is imperative that in-store marketing budgets are utilized & managed effectively to deliver maximum ROI. The position also requires the candidate to manage co-marketing relationship with carrier/retail partners and optimize ROI on joint marketing campaigns by building consensus with all internal and external stakeholders.


  • In conjunction with the Marketing Director, Brand Managers, and Product Managers and Sales departments, identifies, helps to develop and implement the In Store strategy for Mobile products
  • Ensures alignment across the Sales, Product Management and Marketing organizations on in-store needs, sales needs and marketing initiatives
  • Prepare status and roll out reports both internally and with LG HQ in Korea
  • Effectively manage budgets
  • Work closely with key customers to sell in concepts, and negotiate premium positioning in store
  • Work with digital to create consistency between the in store experience and the online experience
  • Create and execute content that is engaging, unique, and consistent with brand guidelines and product messaging
  • Develop and track shopper marketing research studies to deliver consumer insights to create engaging displays, POP, and messaging
  • Negotiate, and brief agency partners on projects and effectively manage relationships and agency performance
  • Become an LG products expert and advocate
  • Co-ordinate with Field Sales Team and store execution teams


Prospective candidates for the In-store Marketing Manager role will be experienced Marketing, Sales, and Merchandising professionals who have the ability to excel in highly competitive, consumer-driven businesses. It is imperative that the Assistant Marketing Manager be firmly grounded in the fundamentals of brand marketing, shopper marketing and merchandising principles. Prospective candidates’ careers will demonstrate positions of increasing responsibility.   Prospective candidates will have excellent presentation and communication skills (both verbal and written). The ideal candidate for the role of the In-store Marketing Manager, Mobile should possess the following personal skills, attributes and qualifications:


  • Minimum of 4-7 years of merchandising, marketing, or trade marketing experience in a similar role with demonstrated record of positive business results.
  • Strong relationship management skills, both internal and external, including the ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints, and exercise influence.
  • Strategic capabilities demonstrated through contributions to the company vision and brand; a history of setting goals and delivering results
  • Superior project management skills
  • History of presenting fresh perspective to existing industries and products.
  • Strong management capabilities demonstrated through the implementation of company-wide initiatives and implementations within project time lines and budget.
  • Strong analytical skills in applying principles of logic.
  • Superior language skills in making effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to senior management.
  • The ability to professionally grow into broader responsibilities
