General Procurement Manager, Marketing Segment will plan, lead and manage procurement and provide day to day leadership and senior level expertise on procurement to meet the organizational needs. The incumbent will design and implement sourcing strategies and procurement plans to support corporate objectives as well as develop all global procurement policies and procedures, implementing best practices and ensuring governance and compliance.


Supplier Management: Source Identification, Selection, Development, Evaluation

  • Lead sourcing projects to identify, evaluate and select preferred suppliers. This includes qualitative and quantitative analysis of suppliers to ensure a project execution of all Commodity Marketing needs and non-marketing projects.
  • Assist Procurement Director to develop and evaluate Request for Proposal/Quote, assist in the development of cost models, support project management activities for productivity and value generating initiatives
  • Develop cost decomposition analysis leading to the discovery and elimination of waste 

 Contract Management for all designated Marketing and non-marketing commodities

  • Review supplier’s T’s & C’s, identify potential contract risks and develop a plan to reduce risks
  • Communicate risks to the respective stakeholders to develop best alternative contract languages for organization
  • Gather and analyze key procurement metrics using data collection techniques (downloading of transactional data to spreadsheet format) and report results to senior management


  • Review suppliers’ price & quality and analyze the cost table
  • Develop tools & plans to execute systematic & efficient negotiation strategy  


  • Lead project prioritization and execution
  • Primarily responsible for GP System monthly reporting for the GP team
  • Lead and develop savings reports, Leadership Team monthly presentations and other ad hoc reports
  • Interact with Legal on agreements as necessary
  • Create procurement budgets and forecasts


  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5 + years relevant work experience in a corporate environment
  • Progressive experience managing and planning in an environment involving multiple clients, relationships and stakeholders and specialized procurement needs
  • Experience in planning and negotiating contracts within a delegated procurement framework
  • Ability to lead and influence team and stakeholders on a course of action
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy with strong analytical and vendor negotiation skills
  • Capable of formulating plans with minimal or vague information
  • Skilled in managing multiple projects and delivering measureable results
  • Strategy development for Creative agency, PR agency and other Marketing agencies
  • Must be able to develop creative solutions and communicate successfully to internal stakeholders, leadership team and supplier
  • Provision of strategic sourcing expertise with the ability to train and guide others
  • Knowledge of strategic sourcing and procurement processes, Kaizen method is an asset
  • Knowledge of quantitative analysis on Marketing and general knowledge of Logistics & General Affairs
